Why is sleep important?
We need a minimum of 7 hours uninterrupted sleep to maintain peak performance.

Staying alert on the job can help protect both ourselves and others. Not only does a lack of sleep impact on performance, but reduced sleep has been linked to weight gain, hardening of the arteries and memory loss. In fact, the effects are the same as those seen with rapid aging.
So, to stay feeling and looking young, we need plenty of deep restful sleep. Without an opportunity to re-charge our batteries, our ability to focus and concentrate on our work or daily tasks is compromised, we feel less energetic, and generally feel less enthusiastic about life in general.
Having trouble sleeping?
There are many reasons why people might have
difficulty sleeping.
People might be:
suffering from stress conditions
suffering with illness or pain
anxious about family, work, relationships, finances
under pressure at work
adjusting to the arrival of a new baby
recovering from trauma
affected by alcohol, caffeine or some medications
advancing in age
...and may all benefit from initiatives that aid sound sleep.
